Beatrice Glow

BEATRICE GLOW’s work uncovers invisible stories from geopolitical shadows of colonialism and migration. She was a resident at the Asian/Pacific/American Institute, NYU, a recipient of Wave Hill’s Van Lier Visual Art Fellowship, and a Fulbright Scholar. Recent activities include Honolulu Biennial and Aromérica Parfumeur. She has a BFA from NYU.

At-large, along 14th Street

“Without darkness we cannot appreciate light. Without light we would not know that we are in the dark.” In the months leading up to SENSE Beatrice took walks along 14th street with here eyes closed while being guided by a partner to engage with New York through her olfactory, auditory and tactile senses. She is sharing these experiences through audio that can be heard above. During the festival Beatrice will invite strangers to go on blind walks with her to experience blind walks themselves.
