Arantxa Araujo

Arantxa Araujo is a Mexican multidisciplinary artist and neuroscientist based in NYC. Araujo is interested in how art changes the brain by allowing curated sensorimotor stimuli to create awareness. Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Mexico and USA.

At any given moment, millions of stimuli are processed psychically without our awareness. Sensory processing occurs extremely fast, especially in the streets of New York City where we are constantly overloaded. Araujo will slow down the pace of this city, almost stopping it with a see-through, lens-like apparatus called a SENScope that provides a frame through which one can experience all the senses.
