Annie Sprinkle & Elizabeth Stephens

Beth Stephens and Annie Sprinkle have been partners and collaborators for 15 years. They are pollen-amourous ecosexuals. The Earth is their lover. Currently they are making a documentary film about the pleasures and politics of water in California, “Water Makes Us Wet.” Sprinkle and Stephens were artists in Documenta 14.

Ecosex Manifesto

Beth Stephens and Annie Sprinkle will present their Ecosex Manifesto in several independent shops along 14th Street between First and Third avenues. Ecosexuality is a new approach to current thinking about global ecological crises, eco-art and environmental activist strategies. By shifting the metaphor from “Earth as mother” to “Earth as lover,” Annie Sprinkle and Beth Stephens aim to entice people to develop a more mutual, pleasurable, sustainable, and less destructive relationship with the environment.
